After leaving school and travelling around Asia and Australasia I attained my degree, BSC(Hons) in Social Management and Science. From University I joined PKF (now BDO) where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant. During my time there I worked in the Business Advisory Sector working for all sorts of companies preparing management and statutory accounts and various tax returns.  On top of this I was seconded to act as the Financial Controller for some larger institutions such as Dulwich College and the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry. In the last year of my time at PKF I was involved heavily in the set up of many dot.com businesses which is where my passion for small start up businesses began.

I moved into the Financial Services sector in 2001 as the FC of a new start up internet stockbroking company - Selftrade - during my time at selftrade we grew the company to 160,000 customers and I was heavily involved in the MBO and restructure and I ultimately became FD. To achieve growth and profitability within very tight and ever changing regulatory and economic framework were the key challenges in this very successful venture.

My next challenge was an FD position at InPartnership a network of Independent Financial Advisors.

In 2012 I decided to set up my own practice with my wife Karen specialising in start up's, SME's and medium sized companies.
